HCC REAR VARIATOR PULLEY

Description
At HCC Clubstore we like to stay close to our customers and always listen carefully to their needs.
That is why we took the initiative to reproduce this rear variator pulley and develop it slightly further.
We did this based on the original design of the original rear variator pulley with holes, which Honda fitted as standard to the vario-matic from around 1982. And with tips from a number of well-known and very active Camino enthusiasts.
We combined the tips with our own insights to arrive at the current result.
The HCC rear variator pulley is applicable both to an original setup and to lightly to heavily tuned setups
The pulley is supplied with a standard pressure spring and is prepared for torsion control.
Since not every setup benefits from a torsion controller set, we offer this optionally as a separate set for a small additional charge.
You can choose this option by switching the choice box before you order.
The main differences with the original rear pulley with holes are:
- The diameter of the pulley has been maximised to 116 mm, which is 10 mm larger than the original pulley.
This has the advantage that a larger ratio is possible at departure and the V-belt will wear less because it lies between the pulley halves.
- The keyway grooves that hold both parts of the pulley together were extended by 3 mm
This has the advantage that the pulley halves can open maximally and the V-belt can drop fully down on the shaft.
So that more top speed can be achieved. Of course this will only be achievable with sufficient horsepower on board your machine.
- The sleeve that ensures that the grease of the pulley stays neatly in place was provided with a small groove at the base.
This has the advantage that small ball bearings can be placed in the groove which serve as a torsion controller.
- The thread for disassembling the pulley has been significantly improved.
This has the advantage that a pulley puller fits well and the pulley is very easy to disassemble with the appropriate pulley puller.
The HCC rear pulley is therefore easy to disassemble with the original Honda clutch puller or the 1:1 replica clutch puller as illustratively shown in the photos of this product. Do you not yet have a clutch puller? Click then HERE to discover our 1:1 replica puller.
Good to know:
The pulley is supplied with a lock nut and washer M8, we recommend using these during assembly of the pulley.
We also supply a rubber washer with the pulley, we advise placing this behind the rear side panel button.
This way the pulley will certainly not touch the inside of the cover. Placing the rubber washer has no adverse effect on fitting the side panel.
WARNING: Further modifying/tuning of this part is at the customer's risk. The warranty is void if the pulley is modified.
