- WARNING: Experience shows that the supplied piston kits can sometimes expand faster than the more expensive piston kits; this in itself is not a problem. However, a very precise adjustment of the carburation, overbrenging and ignition is a must. The piston rings should also be checked for end gap, which ideally is 0.15mm; it may sometimes be necessary to file them slightly.
- You may also consider purchasing for this budget cylinder a higher-quality piston kit such as the Meteor piston kit. If sufficient attention is paid to all these points, this cylinder is almost indestructible after its break-in period.
- The cylinder requires a break-in period of +/- 200 km. The break-in period can be significantly shortened by deburring the transfer and exhaust ports before fitting the cylinder.
- This cylinder is based on the original B-klasse cylinders and performs accordingly or even slightly better. When mounting on an A-klasse overbrenging, in the case of a variable overbrenging the ratio of the variable overbrenging must certainly be adjusted. If the cylinder is mounted on an engine with an A-klasse fixed-pulley overbrenging, we recommend not combining a sports exhaust but sticking to a standard exhaust to minimize the chance of overheating.
